There are sound systems installed at both Centres of Worship.

To reduce background noise, hearing aids should be switched to “T”.

You would be very welcome to join us for worship, or to join in with one of our courses exploring the Christian faith. II f you are new to our parish or are thinking of visiting for the first time here are some things that may be useful to know about what happens at our services. Seating:Feel free to sit wherever you choose -  there are no reserved seats.  (Exceptions are at Family & Parade Services for the uniformed groups and also at services including baptisms when we try to allow families to sit together). Toilets:  At Emmanuel Church the toilets are situated off the entrance area.  At the Emmanuel Church Centre the toilets are off the corridor leading to the kitchen area, (through the door at the rear of the worship area).   There is provision for wheelchair access. Hearing difficulties:  At both Emmanuel Church and the Church Centre there is an "induction loop system" fitted, so please use the 'T' position on any hearing aids.  This should eliminate background noise.
Car parking: At Emmanuel Church parking can be a problem.  Please do not use the Public House's Car Park and be considerate when parking on Chapel Lane and Helmshore Road.   At the Emmanuel Church Centre there is a car park adjacent to the building.
Service Books and Hymn Books:  These will be given to you by a sidesperson as you enter.
Notice sheet:  You will be given a weekly notice sheet as you enter.   The sheet will show details of the services that day and announcements for the coming week.  Please take the sheet home with you. Tea, Coffee & Juice:  After the 9.30am and 11.00am services it is usual for there to be a ‘social time together'.  Please stay and talk, find out more and get to know other people. Collections: The collection goes towards the costs of running and maintaining our church and it’s buildings. As a visitor, please feel under no obligation to contribute, though if you decide you would like to, then all donations are gratefully received. At the 9.30am, 11.00am & 6.30pm Services  there are collections
during the service, when sidespeople pass around the offertory plates to accept your offering.   At the 8.00am  service the plates are not passed around during the service so it is usual that your offering be placed on the offertory plate as you enter.  There are several ways of making your offering: loose cash, giving envelopes and standing orders.  If you are a UK tax payer then your donations can be 'Gift Aided' so that the taxman gives back to the church the tax you have paid on your donation, (at no extra cost to You).   The Planned Giving co-ordinator or Treasurer will be pleased to answer any of your questions or arrange envelopes etc.
